The plant stakes are designed to move with the wind. Each butterfly is securely soldered to a flexible brass rod, allowing it to sway naturally, mimicking the movement of real butterflies. They are non-toxic and safe for plants and animals. However, they should not be placed in areas subject to weed trimming or frequented by bears.
about the artist
I am a stained glass artist specializing in handcrafted butterflies, plant stakes, and tabletop art. Originally from Franklin, North Carolina, I have lived in Asheville since 1998. My journey with stained glass began under the guidance of Robert Pace in Dillsboro, North Carolina, and I further honed my craft as an apprentice at Riverwood Menagerie. In addition to my artistic work, I currently serve as a part-time marketing manager. I enjoy hiking the blue ridge mountains, jogging at the Biltmore Estate and enjoying the natural beauty of WNC. - Jennifer C.
